Chicken Burgers for the Go
Perfect for freezing and popping into the air fryer whenever you need a quick, delicious meal!
Ingredients:
- 3 lbs ground chicken (8% fat)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- ½ tsp ground mustard
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
- ½ tsp turmeric (optional)
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for extra juiciness)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine all seasonings.
- In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon zest, and seasoning blend. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form into patties (about ¼ to ⅓ lb each).
- Place patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze until solid, then transfer to freezer bags with parchment between each patty.
Cooking Instructions (From Frozen):
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
- Cook patties for 14-18 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Lightly spritz with oil before cooking for a crispier outside.
