Turkey Burger Crust Pizza

Ingredients
Lean Protein:
- 6 oz ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1 large egg (50 g, beaten)
- 1 oz part-skim mozzarella cheese (for crust)
- 1.5 oz part-skim mozzarella cheese (for topping)
Greens:
- 1.5 cups raw mushrooms (1.5 servings of Greens)
- 0.5 cup raw shredded spinach (0.5 servings of Greens)
- 60g shredded raw jicama (1 serving of Greens)
Condiments:
- 1/4 cup low-sodium marinara sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp oregano
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, beaten egg, 1 oz of shredded mozzarella, and your preferred seasonings. Mix well until evenly combined.
- On a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza pan, shape the mixture into a round crust about 1/4-inch thick.
- Bake the crust for 12-15 minutes, or until it is cooked through and slightly golden.
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread the marinara sauce evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle the 1.5 oz of mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add the mushrooms and spinach as your toppings.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
